In the transition of ownership Jaguar and Land Rover needed to replace its global messaging platform for 20,000+ employees, previously provided by Ford. Appsbroker worked with JLR to provide a messaging solution that supported the business moving forward and more recently identifying opportunities to make use of Google's App Engine, Google Search Appliance and Google Geo Spatial products. Google Apps has provided Jaguar Land Rover with a global collaborative platform that has enabled the business to respond and adapt to the challenges and opportunities of an ever changing market. As more Google applications are enabled the platform has provided a significant and reliable capability on which to build Smarter Working.

Hovis works with Appsbroker to support it in its new joint venture

Iconic British bread company Hovis has worked with Appsbroker to ensure a smooth transition to a new communication platform following a recent change of ownership.

Hovis uses Google Apps to enable its employees to successfully communicate and share information from any device and location. Appsbroker worked with the Hovis team to carry out a successful migration to a separate domain, created for the new Hovis business. The move involved migrating over 40 million emails as well as large volumes of Google Documents and Drive files across to the new domain.

Using the power of Google+ alongside custom developments from Appsbroker, Hovis was able to re-platform its intranet and deliver a new, more engaging experience that is unlocking and enabling better communication across the organisation.

Appsbroker are excited to be working with such an iconic brand and company and look forward to working with the new business to delivery continual growth and innovation.

The move follows the completion of a joint venture transaction in which The Gores Group, a leading global investment firm, acquired a 51% stake in Hovis with the remaining 49% being retained by Premier Foods. The new company, Hovis Limited, plans to significantly increase investment in improving the efficiency of its operational infrastructure and in reinvigorating the Hovis brand.

The Cordant Group goes Google

The Cordant Group, a national leader in managed people solution provision are moving to Google Apps to drive efficiencies and smarter ways of working across the organisation, allowing their employees to access the tools they need to do their job from any device in any location.

Working with Appsbroker The Cordant Group have selected Google Apps and Chrome to help drive this transformation. The collaborative power of Google Apps along with the powerful social platform Google+ and Hangouts will help bring an organisation spread over more than 200 locations in the UK together.

United Biscuits roll out Google Apps across their organisation

United Biscuits, home of some of the UK’s favourite FMCG brands have successfully completed the roll out of Google Apps across its organisation. Using the power of Google Apps along with the flexibility of Google App Engine, United Biscuits have been able to streamline and improve business processes.

Working with Appsbroker they have moved many applications from IBM Lotus Domino over to the Google cloud, utilising many different services and technologies that Google offer.

Google+ has played a large role within United Biscuits, and the vision is to keep increasing the employee engagement, making the most of this powerful social media tool.

Now that this rollout has completed it has opened the doors to a new way of working, United Biscuits are not only looking at Chromebooks and Chromebases for their staff, but also Chromebox for Meetings to add to their technology transformation.

Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) is a leading global advertising agency with offices in several countries.

The maintenance of an effective and resilient mail architecture was fraught with difficulty and becoming increasingly expensive. There was a strong desire to be able to adapt quickly and effectively to the ever changing demands of the business. Google Apps provided a resilient global platform and enhanced the employees ability to collaborate, in real time, amongst themselves as well as with clients. The successful deployment project led by Appsbroker has helped BBH realise many benefits from moving to Google apps. Management of the messaging and collaboration platform has become a lot easier and from an end users perspective, frustrations of an ageing platform have disappeared.

KP Snacks

KP Snacks produce some of the UK's best known brands and Appsbroker worked with them to implement a new Google Apps and Vault solution for 850 employees.

The project was part of a bigger company separation project from United Biscuits. They wanted to embrace the cloud and Appsbroker assisted them in migration to Gapps and also delivered bespoke applications that run on Google Appengine (Capex, Argos, Workflow).

The BMJ is a world renowned medical journal with 500 employees and Appsbroker was approached to help migrate from the existing mail platform (Lotus) to Google Apps as the first step on a journey to a cloud based solution for mail and future products. Appsbroker worked with BMJ to deliver the project to help make the transition to Google Apps and cloud solutions a fast and simple one.

Northgate a global services provider to government and private enterprises.

Northgate employs 12,000 people across 35 countries and wanted a platform to allow collaborative working with an integrated mail system to replace an ageing and disparate infrastructure. Appsbroker worked with Northgate IS to deliver a Google Apps solution across the business.

Ladbrokes

Ladbrokes plc is a leader in the global betting and gaming market with offices throughout the UK and Europe with 2,000+ employees.

An ageing messaging platform was in need of replacement and there was a strong desire within the business to adapt to the growing demand for internet based betting services. Google Apps has enabled Ladbrokes to make the transition from an old view of the gaming industry to a new web-based model. Appsbroker managed the complete end-to-end project life-cycle and deployment of Google Apps to facilitate Ladbrokes successful transition from a primarily street/ shop based business to one that operates effectively and competitively online. The messaging and collaboration estate is more straight-forward and cost effective than before and the ability to access mail, calendar and documents securely, at any time, from any place on any device has brought untold benefits. This is because the deployment was supported by a robust change programme and the effect has been achieved with minimal disruption to the end-user.
